Provide technical and preanalytic support services for a designated division of technical operations and clients. Duties include specimen evaluation and processing, problem solving, exception handling and customer service. Within six months, demonstrate competence in the policies, procedures and processes associated with delivering excellent customer service. Contact clients with specimen information such as specimen integrity, volume, test clarification, and missing specimens. Project a professional image through phone, email and other communications to internal and external ARUP customers. Provide a supportive link between customers and all other areas of the company.


Education/Credentials required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

 Experience/skills required:

  • Must complete and demonstrate department-specific training and competency within 6 months

 Physical and other requirements:

  • Judgment in planning work, assessing results, solving problems, and taking or recommending action
  • Absolute integrity in the accurate identification of samples, test performance, and reporting of results
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to changes in section structure  
  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extensive periods of time
  • Fine motor coordination
  • Good visual acuity including color perception
  • Mobility
