Avista Corp. Credit Union has been around since 1934. The Credit Union was formed to provide rates of interest for savings accounts and low rates on loan products. We are a nonprofit entity overseen by a 12 member Board of Directors made up of current employees and retirees. The Credit Union’s sole purpose is to make our members' financial situation better by lowering current loan payments and increasing the dividends paid to the members.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Loan Officer/Member Service Reps are responsible for providing quality, timely member services.  To promote a high level of member satisfaction through assistance, education, and follow through, maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug test.

Requirements An ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
  • A minimum of 3 years of professionally related experience
            OR
    2 years directly related experience in a Credit Union or financial institution
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer expertise and knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in a high pace work environment
  • Other equivalent combinations of education/experience may be considered.
Preferred Additional Qualities
  • A minimum of 2 years of loan origination experience and a demonstrated understanding of loan underwriting process
  • Experience in originating, processing or funding Consumer and Mortgage loans
  • Experience in opening new accounts, debit card processing or ACH processing
  • Knowledge of lien perfection, accounting, marketing or collections
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws relating to Credit Union operations
