||Development Ops Architect
||Avista is looking for an exceptional individual to provide technical leadership for our DevOps team. The DevOps Solution Architect must have both the passion and skills to take our DevOps strategy to the next level. This person will work closely with other
Solution Architects, infrastructure teams, Product Owners, SDETs and related disciplines on architecture, processes, environment configuration, multi-system end-to-end automated testing, automated and no-outage deployments and other improvements to deliver
high quality value more quickly.
||•Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
•Minimum of five years of experience in application development and at least one of the following disciplines: technical architecture, network management, middleware, database management or operations
•Experience working in an enterprise environment, interacting with infrastructure and application domains to collaborate and coordinate project interdependencies.
•Broad knowledge of software development and software testing methodologies along with change and configuration management practices
•Significant experience with project and development lifecycles, including Agile methodologies
•Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
•Understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
•Strong knowledge of automated testing, automated deployment, continuous integration, and release engineering
•Strong knowledge of DevOps solution delivery, strategy and methodologies
•Experience working across multiple technology stacks, such as J2EE, Linux, Microsoft and vendor proprietary
•Experience with Microsoft TFS and code branching strategies
•Experience with Microsoft Test Manager
•Strong scripting skills
•Network Load Balancing (NLB) experience
•Knowledge of configuration management tools (such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
•Solid understanding of networking, storage and virtualization
•Strong knowledge of cloud environments
•Practical expertise in troubleshooting, performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis
•Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
•Strong communication skills
