The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination and completion of the Doyon Languages Online project, which includes oversight of all administrative components of the project in addition to implementing various phases in all of the on-site and
off-site teacher development activities. The applicant will be expected to represent the Doyon Languages Online project at all off site cultural and language related events and serve as an ambassador of the institution. This position will be under the direct
supervision of the Language Revitalization Program Manager. Candidate is preferred to have a master’s degree with experience in language teaching, teacher training, or education planning. Strong interpersonal skills are a priority. The applicant must be familiar
with Athabascan languages, the Doyon region, Alaskan classrooms, and general education requirements of the k-12 system.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of the work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: An individual will be required to work the majority of hours in a general office environment, and will need to be able to quickly respond to a change in work demands. Occasional light lifting (1-25 lbs) is required. [Reasonable accommodations
