Description POSITION OBJECTIVES: The CMMS & Scheduler Coordinator is responsible for the effective execution of scheduling maintenance and work processes and supporting system administration at the direction of the CMMS Administrator/Scheduler Manager.

The Maintenance Scheduler interacts with all Doyon Utilities operations to achieve team planning and scheduling. The primary objectives for this position include:

• Prepare weekly, monthly, annual, and outage maintenance schedules to efficiently maximize available resources and manpower.
• Fully utilize the Maximo (CMMS) program to efficiently manage all equipment data and daily work activities.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
1. Coordinate company-wide with the operations maintenance teams to schedule routine and nonroutine maintenance activities.
2. Track work order schedule attainment and barriers.
3. Review all work orders associated with scheduling and planning activities.
4. Ensure all information required for crafts to complete tasks, including Drawings, Vendor manuals, and notes are in the CMMS.
5. Interface with Material Handler/Expediter to improve linked responsibilities (i.e. inventory level, min/max, backorders, work planning etc.)
6. Develop necessary reports, metric measurements, progress of work orders, planned work, and repetitive problems.
7. Be actively engaged in predictive maintenance monitoring.
8. Serve as the alternate contact for Maximo system users.
9. Assist with audits and make corrections to the system as needed.
10. Assist with training new users on Maximo operation and assist with the development of training topics.
11. Identify and assist with the development of CMMS SOPs, reporting, and system operation requirements.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
2. Strong planning and organizational skills.
3. Must be able to work with minimum supervision and be able to manage time when given multiple tasks.
4. Exceptional skill in computer applications with an emphasis on CMMS programs and Microsoft Excel and Projects
5. Utility experience or related industry experience is preferred.
6. Understand site SOPs relative to the position and work within compliance of those standards.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. The incumbent is subject to pre-hire and random drug testing in accordance with the published policy of Doyon Utilities.
2. Must be eligible to work on a military installation in Alaska.  Eligibility to work on a military installation includes compliance with Department of Defense mandates with respect to employee background and health directives.
3. Possess and maintain a valid State of Alaska driver’s license throughout the period of employment and ability to travel as required.
4. Must be able to travel.
5. Completion of an approved confined space entry class.
6. Must Specific work locations may require this position to maintain the qualifications to wear a tight-fitting respirator and stay be clean shaven to comply with company safety requirements. on a daily basis.

ENVIRONMENT: The position will be located at Fort Wainwright near Fairbanks, Alaska with periodic travel requirements on Fort Wainwright as well as Fort Greely and JBER. Employees are required to work both indoors and outdoors including hot, dusty, cold, windy conditions while conducting their responsibilities, which requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than 50 pounds. Employees may be exposed to heat, cold and frequent changes in temperatures. Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. A two-year technical degree or certification in an industrial field is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements.
2. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a field related to work scheduling, planning, maintenance, utilities, or scheduling environment.
