The Data Engineer’s main responsibility is to be the single Point-of-Contact for the data related requirements and design, data integrity and security, data mapping for application migration and integration, and data flows during Dynamics 365 implementation projects for Arctic IT. Responsibilities include but are not limited to analyzing Client’s existing data and the solution requirements to design how all data will be handled, including how data will be migrated, how data flows through all the integrated systems, how the data will be used and analyzed, complete data mapping, understand and develop database schemas, and designing/developing/managing SQL databases. The Data Engineer will be responsible for making decisions about the technologies and the architecture to be used to support the data requirements on projects. A strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure is required along with a base understanding of third-party data management tools.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work for this role is performed in a home office and interacts with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities. Telecommuters are expected to have sufficient home office space that appears neat, organized, and professional when on video meetings. Overnight travel up to 10% may be required.
