Description Kantishna Roadhouse (KRH) is a full-service, backcountry lodge located 90 miles into the pristine natural wonder of Denali National Park in a remote area where few are lucky enough to travel. Employees at the Roadhouse will find adventure, tranquility and an escape from every-day modern life. The season at Kantishna Roadhouse is from June 4th- September 12th and KRH is seeking candidates available to stay the entire season. Room and Board are provided during the season at no cost for this position.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Lead Housekeeper and/or the KRH Operations Manager, housekeepers are responsible for daily cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and cabins, public guest areas, employee bathrooms, and common employee areas; as well as working in the laundry department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Collect, sort, clean, fold, and store laundry; operate washing and drying equipment and maintain laundry room in a clean and orderly fashion
• Replenish supplies to guest rooms
• Change sheets and make beds
• Clean all showers, toilets, sinks, and floors
• Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop non-carpeted areas; shampoo carpets as assigned
• Empty trash
• Work cooperatively with the Front Desk staff to respond to guest requests and deliver items to guest rooms
• Move rollaway beds in and out of the rooms as requested
• Clean public areas including lobby, library, restrooms, hallways, and offices
• Deep clean guest rooms when unoccupied
• Move furniture and hang drapes/blinds
• Clean employee showers and restrooms daily and bathroom off the employee dining room, and vacated employee housing units as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISION:
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum age 18 years
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screening tests
• One (1) year housekeeping experience preferred

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Kantishna Roadhouse is located within Denali National Park. The individual will be working with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: An individual will need stamina and the ability to bend, twist, reach, climb stairs, and lift (1 – 50 lbs) on a regular basis. [Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions].
