Description This is a Relief on-call position.


•High School diploma, or equivalent
•Completion of Medication Technician Program preferred
•Current First Aide and CPR Certifications
•Some Electronic Medical Record experience preferred

•Maintain appropriate level of confidentiality and privacy
•Interact professionally with all customers, including ill, older adults, disabled persons and co-workers, individually and as a part of a team

1.Delivery of Care
a.Maintain current assessment of resident needs and/or services
b.Communicate to residents all available programs and services
c.Completes charting of medications after administration
d.Ensure physicians orders are carried out
e.Checks and places new cycle medications monthly and as necessary
f.Check lab box for fasting labs, drug level draws pre-operative preparation pertinent to medication dispensing
g.Assure appropriate quality of care is provided to all Residents/Clients according to their individual needs
h.Assure proper reporting an documentation is completed as required
i.Respond to Resident/Client needs and requests promptly, appropriately and with respect at al times

2.Resident/Family/Client/Guest/Staff Relations
a.Provide resident orientation to department’s function and services provided
b.Listen to resident concerns and find resolutions
c.Order medications as appropriate
d.Review Pharmacy audit
e.Report issues of security, health and/or safety to appropriate supervisor as soon as practicable
f.Ensure resident rights are preserved
g.Foster appropriate communication and relations between Resident, Family, Client, Guest and Staff

3.Regulatory Compliance
a.Complete audit of medication administration and centrally stored records
b.Complete audit of mail order medications on daily basis
c.Follow established policies and procedures
d.Understand and comply with all regulatory standards set forth by governing entities
e.Assure timely completion of all required reports and forms
f.Maintain Resident/Family/Client confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations,’s Commitment to Quality and Employee Standards of Conduct

4.Professional Development
a.Maintain licenses and/or certificates through appropriate continuing education classes, appropriate training, current testing, etc.
b.Attend staff meetings as required
c.Attend all appropriate training, seminars and workshops as required
d.Complete all required computer-based training by the due date
