Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
•High School diploma, or equivalent

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITY
•Ability to work with computers
•Effective verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills and willing to help foster a positive working environment
•Maintain appropriate level of confidentiality and privacy
•Interact professionally with all customers, including older adults, disabled persons and co-workers, individually and as a part of a team
•Focused attention to detail and the ability to effectively handle multiple items/tasks, prioritize as required and adapt favorably to changing priorities
•Effective ability to make appropriate judgments and decisions, in a timely manner and within the context of the situation at hand
•Problem solving ability
•Abilty to effectively respond to emergency and/or crisis situations
•Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
•Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal direction in English

OBJECTIVES/ACTIVITIES

1.Delivery of Services and Programs
a.Monitor time and attendance, as necessary
b.Monitor sick trays requests for completion.
c.Print all Bistro menus and food labels as needed
d.Check voice mails at the beginning of each shift and cover all call offs
e.Coordinate and oversee morning special events
f.Respond to Resident/Client needs and requests promptly, appropriately and with respect at all times
g.Proper and effective usage to time, resources, supplies and budget

2.Resident/Family/Client/Guest/Staff Relations
a.Conduct daily meal rounds
b.Enter new resident entry in Resident Choice and supply key tag
c.Maintain Resident Choice as needed
d.Assure all team members are following proper dress code
e.Maintain postings of monthly fliers for all dining services special events
f.Report issues of security, health and/or safety to appropriate supervisor as soon as practicable
g.Ensure resident rights are preserved
h.Foster appropriate communication and relations between Resident, Family, Client, Guest and Staff

3. Staff Management and Development
a.Conduct daily Showtime Meetings
b.Assist with providing in-services to team members, as needed.
c.Prepare comment card report and ensure agenda is ready for Food Committee meeting
d.Collect and update comment card report and send to Dining Room Manager.
e.Support the management of the be.group experience by engaging team members in demonstrating be.group’s core beliefs and behaviors
f.Create an environment for team members that honors and respects and values individual opinions and suggestions; demonstrate fair treatment and ethical business practices; support development and reward achievements
g.Fill out Workers Compensation paperwork as needed in a timely manner
