Description JOB SUMMARY: This position works as part of the Rental team and is responsible for preparing the rental fleet to meet customers’ needs. Responsibilities include minor repairs, checking equipment in/out, loading and unloading rental equipment, moving, organizing, and storing equipment in the rental yard.

• Washes, details, repairs, and maintains rental equipment to CAT and Western States Equipment standards.
• Ability to perform basic trouble shooting.
• Performs make-ready inspections.
• Performs minor repairs, annual inspections, and preventative maintenance services on high reach and equipment rental fleet.
• Delivers equipment with company truck and trailer, as needed.
• Schedules major repairs with the service department and monitors progress to maintain optimum rental availability.
• Professional customer service skills.
• Adheres to all customer care standards.
• Continues career development to include on the job training, online, and instructor led training.
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards.
• Work within and promotes corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Experience with basic hand tools required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn and use computer systems (ET, STW, Parts Integration, SIS Web).
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Consistent attendance and ability to work extended hours or on-call, as needed.

• Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Allied training or equipment experience preferred.
• 1 year experience required.
• Western States Technician Career Development, (Apprentice Level) training preferred.
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
• CDL license preferred or ability to obtain.

• Ability to satisfy DOT medical card requirements.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time along with walking, sitting, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs in accordance with Western States’ Lifting Safe Work Practice to include amount and approach.
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
